YWAM Perth

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is a global movement of Christians from many denominations dedicated to presenting Jesus personally to this generation, to mobilising as many as possible to help in this task, and to the training and equipping of believers for their part in fulfilling the Great Commission. As citizens of God’s kingdom, we are called to love, worship, and obey our Lord, to love and serve His Body, the Church, and to present the whole gospel for the whole person throughout the whole world.

YWAM Perth started in 1985.   A key approach God has led YWAM Perth in is a strategic focus on the Indian Ocean Gateway or IOG - 78 nations around the Indian Ocean, from East Africa through the Middle East, South Asia and Australia. Once thought of as an isolated location, today Perth is a growing, influential city, linked with direct flights to all major African and Asian international hubs, as well as London.

Impacting Perth, serving Aboriginal communities in the Kimberley region, reaching communities in the IOG, it’s all part of the same thrust. From healthcare to Bible translation, youth ministry to frontier missions, we are committed to sharing the gospel and seeing God’s purposes realised. Alongside of our on-going ministry, we offer practical, field-based training to equip people to play their part in the Great Commission.

Encountering Jesus brings real change to lives, communities and nations. His ways lead to life in every area of society and He longs to see every community thrive, every individual made whole. We believe that everyone on earth has the right to hear and understand the message of Jesus Christ. So our commitment to "make Him known" shapes all that we do. We share the gospel in any way we can: publicly before crowds and one-on-one with individuals, near and far, in large cities and remote villages. God can use all kinds of gifts and all kinds of strategies to bring hope to all kinds of people. What we do, we do together. We are a multigenerational community of staff and students from many nations and church backgrounds.
