Harness the power of hospitality, culinary arts and creativity to bring hope, as you encounter God in new ways and discover more of how He can use your gifts and passions.
In Scripture we see Jesus reflecting hospitality over and over again – feeding the 5,000, sharing meals with outcasts, grilling fish for His disciples, offering us the bread and cup. Hospitality can be a powerful tool for inclusion, care and healing. Inviting people to the table, making space for them and giving extravagantly communicates value and dignity across language and cultural barriers.
Three phases:
- We’ll kick off with 12 weeks of training together in our international mission community, encountering God in fresh, dynamic ways – in the classroom, in small groups, in serving practically, in sharing the gospel and more. We’ll look at topics such as the Fatherheart of God, evangelism, hearing God’s voice, missions and worship. We’ll include hands-on workshops and opportunities to help you develop your skills and gifts.
- From there, we’ll take it to the nations! The second half of the DTS is your outreach experience. Nourishing bodies and nourishing souls, we’ll serve and reach in all kinds of ways. We will practice hospitality and create open doors for evangelism, discipleship and mercy ministry. And along the way you will get to sample some amazing food – what a great bonus!
- Our final week of DTS will be back in Perth, celebrating what God’s done and getting ready for all He has next.
A DTS opens doors to all kinds of training and missions opportunities! We invite you to get further training at YWAM Perth through courses such as our Transformation School, or join staff to continue the journey of serving Jesus in the nations with an initiative like our Backbone Ministries
Starts every October.
