Christian Retiree Roles

Perhaps you have been so busy with life, work, family and church that you haven’t had a chance to consider serving in mission until now? Or you are wondering if your current career is where God wants you to stay? Or you want to use your your gifts, skills and experience in a more meaningful way to further God’s kingdom?

There are many opportunities for people to serve in mission in the second half of their life or retirement. Organisations are recognising the life experience, knowledge, skills, gifts and mature faith that retirees can bring to their ministries and teams.

Retirees are ideally suited to be a part of mission in many ways:

- Years of experience and wisdom to share

- Time freedom (at least in theory)

- Financial freedom
