We need a Camp Caretaker with practical skills and a heart to serve those who use the facility.
Camp Wattle Grove is a non-denominattional Christian campsite and convention centre, located in the foothills of Perth, Western Australia. It is owned and run by the voluntary directors (Council Members) of Orange Grove Christian Convention Inc, known as Perth Keswick Convention*. The site is used for our twice-yearly Family Christian Conventions and hired out to a variety of churches and organisations for camps, conferences and training programmes.
We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified person to take on the role of looking after the campsite. It’s a position which requires a strong work ethic and a clear commitment to serving in a Christian environment that intersects regularly with people of different Christian denominations, as well as people who may not yet have come to faith in Christ, including school camps. It involves lots of maintenance, being available to assist campers and a capacity to work with the Keswick Convention Council to further our vision to make the campsite a place where everyone can feel loved, accepted, and safe, whatever their reason for being on-site.
The position comes with on-site accommodation and could be suitable for a single person, or married person with or without children. Prospective applicants should be able to provide suitable references, have or be able to obtain a Working With Children Card and be willing to endorse the Keswick Convention Statement of Faith. Please note: Only Australian Residents can apply for this role.
