Mission Service in Africa
Comprised of 58 different countries and with a population exceeding 1.2 billion, Africa is rich in culture, natural beauty and resources yet it remains the world’s poorest and most underdeveloped continent.
Statistics show that Africa is between 40-50% Christian, and many churches are alive and growing, yet there are still approximately 350 million unreached peoples from 988 unreached people groups, with approximately 40% of the population following Islam.
The needs in Africa are great and agencies are looking for:
Make Christ Known
Those who can help make Christ known through a range of ministries and contexts such as church planting, outreach teams, healthcare, community development and agriculture, youth work, and other initiatives;
Equipping
Those who can help train and equip church leaders through theological education and lay leadership programs; and
Supporting
Those who can provide support through administration, finance, aviation, education, member care, media production, and more. Many agencies are looking for medical personnel, agriculturists, teachers (theology, English, MKs), translation workers, and mission trainers to name just a few.
