Our healthcare workers in creative access areas witness a lot of suffering. In cases of suffering, the response taught by the local religious leaders would be that this is a test to be endured and that even acknowledging pain and sorrow would be an instant fail. People will often quote, 'If Allah wills' but the reality is this comes from a place of desperate fatalism, rather than with any expectation of grace and compassion being shown to them.
Mark 4:35-41 illustrates that we serve a God who calms the storm. For people to attend a hospital in these locations, the storms in their lives have reached breaking point. They have struggled, but they can't go on. We need people to serve as a healthcare professionals in a hospital where people are desperate, not only for medical help, but to meet a God who cares enough to save them.
We're currently looking for nurses, physicians in all disciplines, and surgeons. Please pray that God would call people to serve him in this way.
