Refugee Worker

Do you have a heart for refugees? Do you want to bless the refugees on their first step into Europe? Would you like to join our team in Greece, Thessaloniki? Do you enjoy building relationships with refugees mainly from Muslim background and use a window of time to share the Gospel in word and deed, to show hospitality, listen to their stories and pray for them? Do you have a heart to teach and serve the poor and vulnerable, to find creative ways to encourage and help them? Then come and join our team here in Greece.

Requirements: Learn some basic Greek, your ministry will be mainly in English, but Arabic, Farsi etc. are of great help. Be flexible as the influx of refugees varies greatly in number and origin. Usually refuges move on after 1-2 years. Readiness to work together with the local church. It will be important to network well with the local church and other likeminded organizations. The team there cannot provide a visa, you will have to research this yourself. If you have a passport from an EU country, it will be easiesr.  Some non-EU citizens can get a Financial Independent Visa which is valid for three years.
