The full job title is Psychiatry Advisor for Mental Health and the Peace-building Program. Reporting directly to the Technical Director the Psychiatry Advisor will develop the professional skills of psychiatrists in the Mental Health Program through identifying current training needs and delivering training and supervision. They will also strengthen the psychiatry tools and systems used by the program. Additionally they may do other work as required by the program including working on curriculums and with media resources. With high levels of mental health problems and newly developing psychiatry services this role has huge potential to transform peoples lives.
The candidate will be a qualified psychiatrist with relevant experience and an interest in training others. They will speak fluent English and be willing to learn the local language. They will be able to work collaboratively within a multicultural team setting and be willing to live work and model our core values. They will have good communication skills and be flexible and adaptable to change. They will demonstrate a willingness to learn from others.
