Professor or Instructor

University education is expanding rapidly in this country and educators are needed in all fields of study. Universities here hire foreign faculty members to teach in a wide variety of departments. Most departments offer Bachelors Masters and PhD degrees.

Quite a few universities now use English as the language of instruction (including assignments and assessments). Others use the national language. The normal duties of university assistant/associate/full professors are teaching and research with some department service. Instructors teach more classes but are not expected to do research. Policies teaching load research expectations and compensation vary according to the university and department. Often contracts are for 1 or 2 years renewable with round-trip airfare and faculty housing provided. Contact us for further information.

The person will need a willingness to love and mentor students a love for education and ones specialty and for developing young people a desire to be used by God in building trust overcoming obstacles and wrong attitudes (even prejudices about Christian faith) and a willingness to be flexible and adjust oneself to cross-cultural education dynamics.
