Mobilisation Coordinator

We are looking for an enthusiastic mobilisation coordinator based in Sydney.

The ministry of a mobiliser focuses on connecting and journeying with people who are considering serving God overseas, or supporting those who serve overseas. Most of these people are between the ages of 18 and 35, however we are also trying to connect with professionals, early retirees and people in business who are wondering how they can use their skills to serve God.

Our vision is to see more people engaging in reaching unreached peoples in East Asia. A mobiliser helps to achieve this by connecting with individuals and churches, to walk alongside them and help them take up opportunities to serve. This might happen through OMF events, by networking with others, or through mentoring. A mobiliser will not only encourage people to get involved in mission, but also help them to discern the type of ministry that is a best fit for them. A gift for discernment is a great asset.

They will be involved in preparing for and attending OMF events and events where OMF is represented, such as ReachOut and NTE.

They will speak on behalf of OMF at locations such as churches or bible colleges, listening to people's stories, promoting opportunities, and following up inquirers with coaching/mentoring.

This is a position where you would need to raise your own financial support or work as a volunteer. The person must be willing to travel to events with occasional overnight stays.

The start date for this role is negotiable. You may be asked to go through the selection process for OMF members depending on arrangements for your support and current ministry.
