Mission Aviation Fellowship is a Christian aviation organisation. As a worldwide partnership we operate over 135 light aircraft from bases in more than 30 countries, serving about 2,500 destinations. These aircraft are used to enable aid and development agencies, missions, national churches and other local groups, see people physically and spiritually transformed.
MAF in Uganda has 5 aircraft based at Kajjansi Airfield, where our office and maintenance hangar are located. We also support the operations and maintenance of 2 aircraft in our programme in Monrovia, Liberia. Our flight programme supports the ministries of many organisations serving in Uganda, East Congo and South Sudan.
We are now looking for an experienced Mission Pilot to join our Uganda team.
Responsibilities:
As one of our Mission Pilots you will support the programme operations by fulfilling multiple responsibilities and duties as directed by the Country Director and Chief Pilot.
You will safely and efficiently operate MAF aircraft in accordance with company policies and procedures, and support the effectiveness and efficiency of the programme through undertaking Operational, Quality and Safety roles on a routine basis
You will provide a professional aviation service which is customer focused and also actively participate in MAFs quality and safety management systems. You will liaise with Operations during the planning and booking processes
Our expectation is that you will maintain flying qualifications in accordance with MAF and national regulations and comply with flight and duty requirements.
We will expect you to maintain and improve your personal professional standards by completing the proficiency flight checks required by MAF regulations, taking part in training events and undertaking further training and upgrade courses as requested by programme management e.g Check Pilot or Marginal Airstrip Training.
