Power to Change is a faith-based mission that seeks to help fulfill the Great Commission in Australia and beyond by influencing the up and coming generation of young people and younger adults. We have five strategies that are focused on helping fulfill the Great Commission in Australia and beyond. Each has as its focus on the emerging generation of young people from schools to universities to having a vibrant Christian community for every 1000 people in Australia and beyond. We have 150 missionaries and are growing and we are complex organisation with many opportunities and challenges. This role aims to propel our senior leaders and bring alongside them someone who is empowered to lead, influence and problem solve in our Australian context.
You will be the Executive Assistant for the National Director's team. Reporting to the National Director & Deputy National Director, this full-time missionary role will be a key member of the National Director's team, which is based at Mulgrave, Victoria (Melbourne).
Main Responsibilities
The job is diverse, reflecting the roles and responsibilities of the National and Deputy National Director. The Responsibilities would be adjusted to take into consideration the abilities and experiences of the person. It could include:
The successful applicant would be able to work in a team but also alone at times. They need to have the ability and initiative to problem solve and the willingness to learn new skills and interact with new people to find the answers. The applicant should have good written English and computer literacy ?the more programs known, the better. We are a mission agency seeking to love Jesus and fulfill the great Commission, so being on the journey with Jesus is central to the role. Understanding of Power to Change is an advantage but not essential.
This is a full-time or part-time missionary position. As Power to Change has no central funds for paying stipends, our missionaries raise a financial support team to allow them to serve in the movement. If this position becomes a full-time missionary one, then the applicant would be assigned a coach who will help them through the support raising process. This normally takes between 6 and 12 months. Power to Change is very experienced with this method of funding mission work with over 150 people currently serving in Australia using this model.
