Sil worked as an engineer with the local water authority in Canberra. "I was never driven in terms of chasing a successful career or a secure income. I just knew there was more to life than that" said Sil. She is now using her project management experience to serve God in Benin with SIM.

In Kenya, Andy has been partnering with Kijabe Hospital as a civil engineering consultant to help them upgrade their water system and sanitation facilities to meet critical shortages.
