If you’re a musician, performer, dancer, designer or artist, you can use these talents to help reach people in Africa with the Good News.
SIM loves creatives! The opportunities to use your creative gifts in art, music and drama in mission are limited only by your imagination. Creative people have many opportunities to form deep relationships with locals by learning indigenous art forms and teaching artistic skills. These relationships can lead to opportunities for sharing the hope we have in Jesus.
Creatives in mission can be facilitators at events that encourage local believers to create artistic works for evangelism, worship and discipleship. For example, in the Philippines a group of believers from the Blaan tribe are using traditional dance and drama from their culture to teach people about God.
Creative skills can also be used in arts therapy for people who have suffered trauma, as well as in the formation of livelihood projects for those who have little or no income.
If you’re interested in using your artistic skills on the mission field, SIM would love to hear from you!
