Children's and Youth Workers in South East Ireland

Are you passionate about working with children and young people? Do you have a heart to see young people come to know Jesus? Would you be up for the challenge of working in an environment where Jesus is not yet known?

We are looking for people like you to join a small team in Ferrybank church plant in Waterford. Your role will be to help this small church plant put its heart and vision for children and youth into action. You will be making young disciples who will grow into the church of the future, whilst also encouraging families into the church now.

Description

The church plant in Ferrybank, on the suburbs of Waterford City, began in 2010.  We are a “young church” due to the time we have been meeting together, but also because children and youth are an important part of our church family. From the beginning children’s and youth work has been a vital way of serving the community.  After a few years, when due to lack of resources, we have not been able to do much children’s or youth work we are keen to build up this area of ministry again and explore exciting new possibilities. Are you someone who could help us do this?

This role could be done bi-vocationally (alongside another job).

Qualities

- You are someone who loves Jesus and loves children and youth.  

- You are passionate about creating opportunities for those outside of church to encounter Jesus.

- You see value in the challenge of patiently drawing alongside individuals or small groups to help disciple children and youth.

- You will be able to work as part of a team, and lead and equip others in children’s / youth work.

- You are flexible to follow where God will lead.
