Join a team investing in a developing country to set up a project producing vegetables using hydroponics.
You will be responsible for organising planting / harvesting / labour and other growing operations in new hydroponic vegetable production greenhouses (tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers). Crop scheduling including propagation (all has to be grown from seed on site) and grafting. Day to day crop duties - crop pest and disease scouting and treatment, integrated pest management / biological controls. Establishing and supervising crop trials.
The location is a rural village.
Qualifications: Relevant agricultural experience and training with experience in hydrophonics. Grafting experience would also be an asset. This role is a team position so good interpersonal and leadership skills important plus the ability to live simply and be involved in the local community.
