The Graduate Diploma of Divinity constitutes one-third of the Master of Divinity (without the requirement for a Capstone Experience unit or research Project) and can be completed in the following ways:
- a stand-alone course – students can complete the Graduate Diploma on its own, or in addition to the Master of Divinity; or
- a nested course within the Master of Divinity –students can surrender the Graduate Diploma and credit completed units towards the Master of Divinity; or
- an early exit point from the Master of Ministry or Master of Divinity.
The course will focus on disciplines across Bible and Languages, Christian Thought and History, as well as units by which the knowledge of God is applied to the three areas of the field Ministry and Practice:
- Evangelism and Mission,
- Pastoral and Church Focused Ministry and
- Developmental Ministry.
Prerequisite: An undergraduate degree in non-theology
Duration: 1 year full time, or up to 4 years part time
