Stage Manager | ReachOut Missions Conference
Join our team as a Stage Manager and play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of the Main Stage Program at ReachOut Missions Conference! This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic event and work closely with speakers, MCs, band members, and interviewees.
ReachOut Missions Conference is an annual event designed to inspire and equip Christians for global mission engagement. The conference aims to foster a deep understanding of God's global purpose, ignite a passion for missions, and provide practical tools for effective involvement in global outreach. Participants can learn from God's Word, connect with experienced missionaries, and engage in workshops that explore various aspects of cross-cultural work.
To ensure the smooth running of the Main Stage Program, particularly in directing and assisting the speakers, MCs, band members and interviewees.
Meet with Program Coordinator and/or MCs 1-2 weeks out from ReachOut
Connect via email with all those in the program 1-2 weeks out from ReachOut
Text people on the day of the event with their call time at stage door
Cue when each person needs to come backstage
Ensure the program runs to time and manage smooth transitions on and off the platform, including microphone management
3-1 Months | June - August
Consider who could assist backstage and act as a gofer, which could be the Program Coordinator if they have capacity. This person would act as a ‘gofer’ who helps run around and source interviewees, communicate with the AV operators, and get information from people.
1 - 2 Weeks out from Event | August - September
Meet with the Program Coordinator and/ or MCs to get a run down on the program and any specific things to be aware of.
Email each person involved in the program and introduce yourself as Stage Manager. Ask them to come to the stage door or green room 30 minutes before their session to talk through program specifics and their cue to come back stage.
Event Week | 1-7th September
Maintain contact with Program Coordinator or MCs for last minute updates or changes to the program.
Event Day | 7th September
Touch base with Program Coordinator or MCs for any last minute changes.
Text each person on the program and ask them to be at the stage door 30 minutes before the Main Session to give them their cue for coming backstage and outline any specifics they need to be aware of (e.g. carrying or removing lectern).
Once the speaker is on stage, sit in the front row with a 5 minute warning flash card.
