About Us
Remar ('Reaching the Marginalised') Australia is a non-profit Christian Charitable Organisation dedicated to providing practical help to the vulnerable in society. We work with individuals, families and communities to overcome addiction, poverty and injustice. Our vision is to see lives transformed and relationships restored by the power of God, so that they can then reach out to others in similar situations. We are in over 75 countries world wide and entirely run by volunteers.
About the Role
Remar provides residential care and rehabilitation focused on individual needs for physical, emotional, and spiritual restoration. The Rehabilitation program is targeted towards adults with alcohol and drug addictions.
We are looking for Christian Volunteers and Missionaries with a heart to see the captives set free. We work primarily with Men and families with substance abuse issues at our rehabilitation centre in Nyora Victora, set on 25 acres of farmland.
A typical day could range from working with the men on the farm in a variety of duties: Animals, Kitchen, groundskeeping, construction, gardening, Donation sorting. We also have an Op Shop and Church in Pakenham where help is also welcomed.
We are also praying to open a womens program to meet the needs of the community and welcome women volunteers who would like to support this.
