Non-profit business development - Promoting mission in a post-covid world

The Need

Covid-19 has lifted society to an even higher dependency on the digital world.

To help encourage Australian Christian involvement with mission - Missions Interlink have introduced two digital platforms:

(i)  Mission Seek (newly released in mid-2019) – to promote missionary opportunities, mission trips, jobs, volunteer roles, mission courses and events.  Currently has over 1,000 listings with a few dozen agencies involved.

(ii) GiveHigher (on track for late May 2020 release) – to promote mission projects and Christian workers needing financial support.  To date, we have over 25 agencies on board for this new initiative.

Later this year, the last platform in the ‘trilogy’ aims to encourage further prayer support for missions, and increased local church involvement in mission.

The Role

We need a driven person to spend a few hours a week building up the following:

• The number of member/associates promoting mission via the platforms
• A network of strategic partners willing to promote mission.  For example – churches, Christian media, Bible colleges.
• Christian businesses willing to be sponsors

A key objective is to help build sustainable platforms that will serve missions and the Australian Christian community for years to come.  

Location

This role can be done from home at times that suit you.  (However, bear in mind, the people you will be speaking with largely work normal business hours).

Requirements

• A committed Christian who adheres to the statement of faith and core values of Missions Interlink.
• Experience is talking with senior and middle management, with a preference to pick up the phone or meet in person. 
• Self-driven, motivated, and godly.
• A clear verbal communicator and good listener
• An entrepreneurial thinker, able to spot new opportunities.
• Ideally, some mission or Christian organisation background.
